This article details how to set up and use the Facebook Pixel within your Feefo account.

The Facebook Pixel is an analytics tool that allows you to measure the effectiveness of your adverts by understanding the actions people take on a monitored website. You can use pixel data to:

  • Make sure your ads are being shown to the right people.
  • Build advertising audiences.
  • Unlock additional Facebook advertising tools.

Once you have created a Facebook Pixel, add it to your Feefo account and we will embed it in the header of your Feefo feedback form and reviews page so that when someone leaves feedback through our feedback form, you can track their visits to your reviews page, the service and product rating that they submitted and, if applicable to your account, the NPS (Net Promoter Score). Note that tracking the audience's journey through Feefo can be done using just the Facebook Pixel, however, Advertising for Facebook will be needed when enriching your Facebook Dynamic Ads with Feefo ratings or targeting advertising based on a customer's Feefo review.

This is an example of how the Facebook Pixel visitor data looks in Facebook Business Manager when including the Feefo data. The events that are tracked from the Feefo consumer journey are listed in the bottom left corner of the screen as PageView, ServiceRate, ProductRate and NpsRate.Note that only the ratings and scores are tracked so any comments customers submit are excluded. Knowing which customers have left which rating means that using Facebook Dynamic Ads and Advertising for Facebook you can, for example, serve one Facebook advert targeted at 4 and 5-star reviewers and another for reviewers leaving lower ratings. 

Adding your Facebook Pixel to Feefo is easily done through the Feefo Administration Portal.

  • Choose 'Settings > Website Settings'.
  • In the lower half of the form you will find the Social Media section. Locate the 'Facebook Pixel ID' field.
  • Enter your Facebook Pixel into the text field for the Pixel ID. This is usually a 15 or 16-digit number.
  • Click on 'Save Changes'.

Once saved, your Facebook Pixel immediately becomes active on your Feefo feedback form and reviews page so any Facebook users leaving reviews from that point onwards will be tracked. Note: The Facebook Pixel can only track Facebook users and they will only be actively tracked if they are logged into Facebook when leaving a Feefo review. Customers who are not logged into Facebook when leaving a review will be identified by the email address they used on Feefo and, assuming this is the same as the email address registered with Facebook, tracking will become active when they next log into Facebook. If the reviewer does not have a Facebook account or uses a different email address when leaving reviews on Feefo to that registered with Facebook, they will not be tracked.
