unanswered_feedback is used to define how customer reviews without a merchant reply are handled. Only valid where:

  • mode = all
  • mode = service
  • mode = product

Possible values are:

  • include
    Reviews received within the last 48 hours that do not have a merchant reply are returned.
  • exclude
    Reviews received within the last 48 hours that do not have a merchant reply are not returned. The results will depend on the mode:
    • mode = all
      The entire feedback will be suppressed if there are no merchant replies against the service element or any of the product elements.
    • mode = service
      The feedback will be suppressed if the service element does not have a merchant reply.
    • mode = product
      The feedback will be suppressed if the product element does not have a merchant reply.
  • exclude_negative
    Unanswered 1 and 2 star rated feedback received within the last 48 hours will be excluded in the response.
  • Again the results will depend on the mode:

    • mode = all
      The entire feedback will be suppressed if any element of the feedback is negative and there is no merchant reply against the service element or the negative product element.
    • mode = service
      The feedback will be suppressed if the service feedback is negative and there's no merchant reply.
    • mode = product
      The feedback will be suppressed if the product feedback is negative and there's no merchant reply.
    • An example Reviews API call using unanswered_feedback is:

Where:

  • version = the version of the API associated with the URL. See API Versions for the version number.
  • all = returns both service and product reviews.
  • merchant_identifier = the merchant's unique Feefo identifier, which in this example is example-retail-merchant.
  • unanswered_feedback = determines if reviews without merchant replies are included. In this example, the entire feedback will be suppressed if there are no merchant replies against the service element or any of the product elements.
